While the top buys have earned crores, there are dozens of players who have remained unsold in IPL 2025 auction

The IPL 2025 season will start from March 14 and end with the final match on May 25. Ahead of that, the IPL 2025 auctions have been successfully completed. A total of 10 teams will be participating in the 2025 IPL season. Let us take a look at which players were sold and unsold in IPL 2025 auction.

Top Buys – Top Sold Players in IPL 2025 Auction

1). Rishabh Pant – A wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant was the top sold player in IPL 2025 auction. The auction amount is a staggering Rs 27 crore. This bid amount was made by Lucknow Super Giants. Earlier, Rishabh Pant was with Delhi Capitals.

2). Shreyas Iyer – A batsman in the Indian cricket team, Shreyas Iyer has been auctioned for Rs 26.75 crore. Making him the second most valuable player in IPL 2025 auction. With this bid, Shreyas Iyer is now part of Punjab Kings. Earlier, Shreyas Iyer was with other IPL teams including Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals.

3). Venkatesh Iyer – Playing as a batsman in the Indian cricket team, Venkatesh Iyer has been auctioned for Rs 23.75 crore in the 2025 IPL auction. It makes him the third most valuable player in 2025 IPL season. He is now part of Kolkata Knight Riders. Earlier, he had also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

4). Arshdeep Singh – A left-arm medium-fast bowler in the Indian national cricket team, Arshdeep Singh  has been auctioned for Rs 18 crore. The winning bid was made by Punjab Kings. In domestic cricket, Arshdeep Singh plays for Punjab. He was part of the team that had emerged a winner in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

5). Yuzvendra Chahal – Playing as a leg spin bowler in the Indian cricket team, Yuzvendra Chahal has been auctioned for Rs 18 crore in the 2025 IPL auction. The winning bid was made by Punjab Kings. Earlier, Yuzvendra Chahal had been part of other IPL teams such as Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals.

  • KL Rahul (India) – Rs 14 crore (Winning bid by Delhi Capitals)
  • Trent Boult (New Zealand) – Rs 12.50 crore (Winning bid by Mumbai Indians)
  • Jofra Archer (England) – Rs 12.50 crore (Winning bid by Rajasthan Royals)
  • Josh Hazlewood (Australia) – Rs 12.50 lakh (Winning bid by Royal Challengers Bengaluru)
