Xpressbees is one of the fastest growing companies in logistics sector. It was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra. Xpressbees focuses on providing end-to-end supply chain solutions that includes last-mile deliveries. It has dedicated service platforms for B2C, B2B, third party logistics and cross border logistics. Xpressbees caters to the needs of various industry segments such as e-commerce, banking and finance, pharmaceutical and healthcare, heavy machinery and manufacturing, food and groceries, automotives and auto parts and consumer goods.
While there are quite a few logistics service providers in the country, Xpressbees has been able to register strong growth since its inception. It was made possible with use of advanced technology systems. As of now, around 75% of the company’s operations are fully automated. This allows a host of benefits such as reduced cost, high efficiency, accuracy and transparency. Xpressbees has an esteemed client list that includes ICICI Bank, Bajaj FinServ, Flipkart, Meesho, Tata Cliq, Snapdeal, Myntra, MI, Bira 91, Schneider Electric and Shop 101.
Xpressbees story can be traced back to 2012 when it was used primarily as a delivery service for FirstCry. With growing demand for logistics services in the country, the founders felt that Xpressbees could be launched as an independent logistics service provider. The aim was to allow Xpressbees to grow on its own and not limit it to operations related to FirstCry.
That’s exactly what happened, as Xpressbees has been registering strong growth over the years. As of now, Xpressbees handles more than 3 million shipments per day. It has 3000+ offices and service centers, 52+ cargo airports, 100+ hubs, more than 10 lakh sq. ft. warehouse capacity and 35,000+ field executives.
Xpressbees has received investments worth $577.6 million via 9 rounds of funding. Some of the key investors include Blackstone Group, Chrys Capital, TPG Growth, Gaja Capital, Investcorp, Norwest Venture Partners, Alibaba Group and InnoVen Capital. In Series F funding in February 2022, Xpressbees had raised $300 million. With this, the valuation of the company zoomed to $1.2 billion, thereby achieving the coveted ‘Unicorn’ tag.
Xpressbees has not made any acquisitions in recent years.
Xpressbees competes with other logistics service providers such as Ecom Express, Delhivery, Shadowfax, DTDC, DHL and eKart Logistics.
