Daddan Mishra

Daddan Mishra is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Lok Sabha constituency of Shrawasti in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Shrawasti is a new Lok Sabha constituency that was formed in 2008, as per the delimitation exercise based on recommendations provided by the Delimitation Commission of India. Daddan is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is the second MP to serve this constituency since its formation in 2008. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Daddan Mishra defeated his nearest rival Atiq Ahmad of Samajwadi Party (SP) by a margin of more than 80,000 votes. Throughout his political career, Daddan has focused on empowering the youth by giving them access to top quality education. He is also associated with promoting a range of social and cultural activities.

Early Life and Education

Daddan Mishra was born on September 30, 1967 to Pt. Aatmaram Mishra and late Smt. Banwari Devi alias Nanhi Devi. He was born in Kalam Satrahi, which is located in Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh. Daddan has completed his M.A. in political science and received education at Awadh University, Uttar Pradesh. He married Vimla Mishra on March 13, 1994.
