Gurugram, February 25, 2024: Hyundai Motor India proudly supported the Gurugram Marathon 2024, as a platinum sponsor, in line with its global brand vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’. The Government of Haryana organized the much talked about event, under the patronage of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri. Manohar Lal. The Marathon was flagged off at the Leisure Valley Park in Gurugram, on February 25, 2024, drawing participation from over 40 000 people. Creating much buzz among the city folk, the Gurugram Marathon 2024 celebrated the spirit of healthy living, community and solidarity, inspired by the ‘Haryana Uday’ and ‘Fit India’ initiatives.
As the Platinum sponsor, Hyundai Motor India partnered with the Haryana Government to promote health awareness and strengthen community bonds through the Marathon. The event provided an opportunity for Hyundai to engage with the masses and support Haryana government in its endeavour to celebrate not just sporting excellence, but also the spirit of unity, determination, pride, giving, togetherness and transformation. This marathon is symbolic of India’s progress and potential, and a reminder that anything is possible when we come together as a community.

With a total prize money of Rs. 15 00 000 awarded to the winners, the Marathon featured four categories – 42 km Full Marathon, 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km Timed Run, and 5 km Fun Run. It witnessed active participation from diverse segments of the society including individual runners, fitness & hobby enthusiasts, professional athletes, armed forces personnel, students and corporate participants. Besides the first three finishers, the Marathon also recognized winners in the Masters (45 years and above), Specially Abled Runners and Transgender categories, exhibiting inclusivity and opportunity for all. Notably, the event saw rich gender-diversity in participation with about 40% female and 60% male runners.
