Rajesh Kumar Diwakar

Rajesh Kumar Diwakar is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Lok Sabha constituency of Hathras in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rajesh Kumar Diwakar defeated his nearest rival Manoj Kumar Soni of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) by a margin of more than 3 lakh 25 thousand votes. Throughout his political career, Diwakar has remained committed to the welfare of poor people. He believes in the notion that the country can progress only when its people are empowered and provided a good life. He has been associated with various projects that seek to improve the living conditions of poor people.

Early Life and Education

Rajesh Kumar Diwakar was born on March 12, 1971 to Shri Ram Khiladi and Smt. Ganga Devi. He was born in Ladpur, which is located in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. His educational qualifications include B.Sc., LL.B. and he received education at Saraswati Degree College, Hathras, U.P. and Shri Varshnoy Degree College, Aligarh, U.P. He married Sweta Choudhry on February 14, 1997.

  • 1 Sep. 2014 onwards: Member, Standing Committee on Labour; Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution

Personal Pursuits

Rajesh Kumar Diwakar likes listening to music and reading books. He has interest in electronics as well. He is also a sports enthusiast and his favorite sports include cricket, badminton and volleyball.
