Korean Cultural Centre India is set to host an exhibition featuring the award-winning entries from “Talk Talk Korea 2024”, the world’s largest content contest. Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the exhibition, titled

“Talk Talk Korea: Embracing Global Emotion”, will be on display at the KCCI Gallery from March 20 to May 30, 2025.

Celebrating its 11th anniversary in 2024, ‘Talk Talk Korea’ has grown into the world’s largest content contest, attracting an impressive 60,000 participants from 140 countries. The competition featured five diverse categories: Promotional Video (videos expressing special skills such as Korean music, dance, and musical instruments); Art & Craft (works such as paintings, webtoons, sculptures, and calligraphy);  Motion Graphics (2D and 3D animation, motion graphic technology videos); Photography (photos set in Korea); and Meme & Trend (short-form videos such as memes and challenges).

Recognising the rise of short-form videos as a dominant global content trend, ‘Talk Talk Korea 2024’ introduced a new category, ‘Meme & Trend’, dedicated to viral challenges and memes. Additionally, short-form video content was encouraged within the ‘Motion Graphics’ category. The first-place winners from each category were invited to Korea as part of a special visit programme organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. To celebrate their achievements, the Ministry hosted an award ceremony alongside the ‘K-Wave Festival 2024’, featuring congratulatory performances by K-pop artists and other cultural events.

The exhibition at the Korean Cultural Centre India will showcase a total of 49 award-winning works across five categories, presented through immersive displays and three-dimensional structures to create a dynamic, multifaceted viewing experience. Notably, the works of Indian award-winning participants will be featured prominently in the central gallery space, highlighting the special cultural connection and shared emotions between Korea and India.

Gahir Suchismita, the winner of the ‘Meme & Trend’ category, said: “With the growing craze for K-pop and K-dramas, learning Korean has become a trend. I wanted to capture relatable moments—like reacting to a call while watching a K-drama or casually using Korean words with friends. I submitted my entry at the last minute and never expected to win among so many talented participants. I didn’t even check the results until another winner from the Philippines congratulated me. Seeing my name on the list was a complete shock—I still can’t believe it!”

“The Talk Talk Korea contest gave me the opportunity to showcase Korea through my eyes and lens. The love and respect I have for Korea is reflected in my photos,” said Bandgee Kallra, who secured third place in the ‘Photography’ category.

Hwang Il Yong, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India said, “The Talk Talk Korea contest, which will be in its 12th edition this year, is an opportunity to rediscover the value of Korean culture through the sensibilities of people around the world. It has become a platform for global creators to contribute to the evolution of Korean culture. Through this exhibition at KCCI, the Indian audience will get to experience the shared emotions and diverse stories of Korea as told by participants from across the world.”
