To Save India, West Bengal Must Be Won: B. L. Santhosh The Quran Mentions Only One Colour — Saffron: Arif Mohammad Khan

Panaji, 27th December 2025: At the fourth edition of Panchjanya’s Goa Sagar Manthan: Sushasan Samvad, BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B. L. Santhosh said that to save India, West Bengal must be won. He described the situation in Bengal not as a political battle but as a civilizational one.

He said the process to elect the BJP national president had been underway for the past 8–9 months. The announcement was made as soon as the decision was finalised. While it may have appeared sudden to some, he clarified that there was no conspiracy involved. The prevailing electoral circumstances also contributed to the delay in the election process.

Addressing the gathering, Santhosh emphasised that internal discipline is of great importance in the BJP. He said the party allows complete freedom for internal disagreement and functions democratically. “We have 100 per cent autonomy in running the organisation. For us, power is not for enjoyment; it is a means to advance our ideology. Wherever we have received power, we have implemented our ideas. Power is our goal only in the interest of the nation,” he said.

He further alleged that the opposition is damaging constitutional institutions. While the BJP is ready to face all kinds of political opposition fairly, it warned that everyone must promptly condemn attempts to destabilise the country.

Speaking at the event, Bihar Governor Dr Arif Mohammad Khan said“According to the Quran, even the Prophet is not permitted to break the laws of the country in which he resides. He pointed out that not only in India, but also in countries like the UK, France, and Germany, some people are demanding Sharia law. “Challenging the laws of the country you live in is wrong even from the Quranic perspective,” he said.

He added that the Quran states there can be no compulsion in religion, yet the Personal Law Board claims that even if a person pronounces divorce under fear or pressure, it should be considered valid. Dr Khan also said that the Quran mentions only one colour: saffron. It is described as a colour that is pleasing to the eyes and is referred to as the ‘Zafran’ (saffron) colour.

At the Panchjanya Sagar Manthan Samvad 4.0, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant dismissed Congress’s allegations of vote theft as baseless. He said that even in postal ballot voting, the NDA emerged victorious. He pointed out that during Congress governments, the SIR process had been conducted 10 times and claimed that Congress’s genuine concern is the removal of votes cast by infiltrators.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a clear vision to ensure transparency at all costs. “That is why we took a firm decision to make staff selection completely transparent. We implemented this for Category C and D posts. Our system is set up so that once a student finishes the exam, they receive their marks digitally immediately. After that, selections are made following scrutiny in CPT-2. I can confidently say that no other state has a system as transparent as ours. Talented individuals are now entering government jobs’Sawant said.

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Secretary General Ranjeet Mehta said that everyone should visit Goa at least once. He highlighted that Goa’s strong position in tourism is rooted deeply in Indian culture. He noted that Goa has now transformed into a year-round tourism destination, calling it a significant shift. Praising the infrastructure of Mopa Airport, he described it as a far-sighted initiative. He also said that India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy and must now aim to overtake Germany to become the third-largest.

RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Prachar Pramukh Pradeep Joshi said that the idea of India is fundamentally spiritual. “Every phase of development has carried spirituality within it—this has always been our uniqueness. Such a society existed here, which is why it came to be known as Hindu. India’s identity thus became associated with Hinduism,” he said.

He clarified that the RSS is not an organisation formed in opposition to anyone, but one driven by a mission. “The Sangh seeks the unity of the entire humanity. Our declaration has always been ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family). We believe that Lord Buddha played a major role in spreading Indian culture across the world,” he added.

Joshi said that the RSS’s 100-year journey is a journey of ideas. “We move forward with Hindutva, which is the core idea of this nation. This journey is ideological. Hindutva means inclusive, all-pervasive, and universal. These qualities are reflected in the Sangh as well. Therefore, in the Sangh’s journey of growth, Hindutva continues as a journey of ideas,” he said.

The Panchjanya Goa Sagar Manthan: Sushasan Samvad 4.0 was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Goa. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Panchjanya Editor Hitesh Shankar, BJP National General Secretary B. L. Santhosh, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and Bharat Prakashan Delhi Limited Director Brij Bihari. Several distinguished guests then shared their views from the stage. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Brij Bihari, Director, Bharat Prakashan Delhi Limited.
