Drawing from her own journey, Aksha Kamboj shares thoughts on the 21st-century woman and women entrepreneurship

Aksha Kamboj, an executive director of Mumbai-based multi-industry firm KBJ Group, has a lot of achievements in her name. She recently joined the management of KBJ Group, the company founded by her husband Mohit Kamboj aka Mohit Bharatiya. Previously, she had committed to being a full-time mother to her kids Mishka Kamboj and Avyaan Kamboj. The transition back into the business world came after a period of 12 years.

Currently, Aksha Kamboj is in one of the topmost positions of a company that is active in bullion, jewellery, real estate, trading, hospitality, and agriculture sectors. Leading such a conglomerate requires a set of dynamic skills and qualities, and Aksha Kamboj seems to have mastered them all. But the switch wasn’t as seamless as one might think. “There was a lot to learn, and a lot to do. KBJ Group is a vast company and challenges are a regular part of leading it. What gets me through it all is my love and passion for the company,” she expressed candidly.

Reminiscing back on her own experience, Aksha Kamboj firmly believes that women are capable of doing all that they wish to. At KBJ Group, she loves working with other women and is assured of the potential and perspective that women bring into positions of responsibility. She acknowledges that support is a huge part of this journey for her. Her husband Mohit Kamboj aka Mohit Bharatiya and kids Mishka Kamboj and Avyaan Kamboj have been her support system as she transitioned into the role of executive director. Furthermore, she adds that she wishes to see more and more women in the entrepreneurship arena. “I am excited to see more women entrepreneurs. It is now time that the 21st-century woman breaks the stereotypes and pursues her passions,” says Aksha Kamboj.

Being thankful to Mohit Kamboj aka Mohit Bharatiya for always motivating her, Aksha Kamboj is ready to steer KBJ Group to new heights. She also works to inculcate the same ideas and understanding about equality into her kids Mishka Kamboj and Avyaan Kamboj.
