February 11, 2025, New Delhi: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Power, has strengthened its commitment to sustainable energy transformation by forging strategic partnerships to mark its 15th foundation day. The company has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements worth Rs 500 crores with leading international and Indian bodies, paving the way for innovative energy efficiency solutions and collaborative growth.

EESL formalized partnerships with Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle, Joint Business Council (IMT-GT JBC), Green Growth Asia Foundation (GGAF), and IIT Hyderabad, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and cross-border cooperation. The MoUs, collectively valued at Rs 500 crores, focus on advancing critical areas such as energy-efficient lighting, clean cooking solutions, space heating, renewable energy, electric mobility, cooling technologies, and consultancy services.

Additionally, EESL also signed agreements to implement Solar Power Micro Cold Storage Solution (SPMCS) with HP Nursery Management Society under the Department of Horticulture, Himachal Pradesh; Susag Millet Producer Company Limited and Giri Siri Tribal Farmers Producer Organisation through ESAF, Andhra Pradesh. These partnerships aim to provide farmers with sustainable and energy-efficient storage solutions, helping reduce post-harvest losses and cut GHG emission from the produce at the farm gate.

Notably, the MoU with the IMT-GT highlights a large-scale rollout of energy-efficient solutions outside international boundaries, while partnerships with educational institutions like IIT aim to integrate innovative technologies into their operations.

The Ministry of Power pavilion drew significant attention from visitors on the first day of the India Energy Week 2025, offering valuable insights into the sector. The EESL booth also garnered interest, along with the EESLmart booth, which showcased cutting-edge energy-efficient products such as induction cooktops, 5-star rated BLDC fans and air conditioners, rechargeable emergency bulbs, and e-bicycles. These innovations highlight EESL’s commitment to promoting energy efficiency and making sustainable solutions more accessible across various sectors.

Shri Vishal Kapoor, CEO of EESL, expressed his enthusiasm for the outcomes of IEW 2025, stating, “Our participation in India Energy Week 2025 has been a testament to EESL’s role as a leader in sustainable energy solutions. The partnerships and initiatives unveiled on Day 1 of the event reflect our unwavering commitment to innovation and collective action. We look forward to continuing our journey toward a greener, more energy-efficient future.”

The milestones achieved during IEW 2025 underscore EESL’s leadership in advancing India’s energy efficiency goals.
